Someday Stories are a series of 6 short films are produced by Connected Media with support from NZ On Air, The Body Shop, Te Māngai Pāho and the New Zealand Film Commission in association with Stuff, Māori Television, RNZ, and the Coconet.tv. Super Special has been selected and played in 8 festivals around the world as well as been played on Māori Television and TV on demand.

Super Special has won Gold at the Best Actor award, for Best Child Actress (from 5 to 12 y.o.) for Lakyrah Ngnarongo’s performance, and it has won ‘Best performances’ at the Feedback female film festival. Super Special has also been nominated as a finalist for it’s musical score in Athens short film festival held in Greece which we will be told the results at the end of October 2020.
Super Special has been used as a resource in Universities, and continues to create conversations a year on. From going viral in it’s first week to a year on, 3rd of June 2020 the Prime Minister has committed (in this year’s Budget) to funding a new programme that will provide free period products to schools.
